WOODSTOCK, Ga. — Justin Barger Racing was back in action July 9 and 10 for a USCS 360 Sprint Car doubleheader Friday night at South Carolina’s Travelers Rest Speedway and Saturday at Georgia’s Dixie Speedway, where Barger drove his No. 5 Triple X to the feature win in the 27-lap Randy Helton Memorial Dixie Sprint Car Nationals.

Barger’s triumph at Dixie gives him two feature wins in just four starts so far in 2021. After winning his heat, he’d start on the pole for the 27-lapper and lead every circuit on his way to the score. Danny Smith was second, Landon Britt third, Terry Gray fourth and NASCAR Cup Series regular Ricky Stenhouse Jr. fifth.

“What a great night,” Barger said after the win. “We had a couple close calls in lap traffic, but other than that it was a pretty smooth race. When you start from the pole you always feel like you should get the win, and we were able to do that tonight. Thanks to everyone on this team and all our partners that help us get to the racetrack. We’ve had a good run so far this year and we’ll look to keep it going.”

Barger opened the weekend with a solid third-place finish at Travelers Rest.

In four starts, Barger now has two wins, a third and a seventh in April at Talladega Short Track.
